National Theatre Museum (Museu Nacional do Teatro)
The National Theatre Museum, founded in 1985, is located in the
Monteiro-Mor Palace, an 18th century building set on Monteiro-Mor Park.
The collection is made up of 260.000 pieces from costumes, scenery
models, caricatures, posters, postcards, manuscripts and a collection
of around 120.000 pictures.
This museum presents temporary exhibitions dedicated to theatre
companies, show business related people or other less known aspects of
the incredible world of theatre.
Closed on Mondays and public holidays.
