Milly Possoz - A Modernist Grammar (Uma Gramática Modernista)

Milly Possoz (1888-1967) was a contemporary artist of Arpad Szenes (1897 - 1985) and Vieira da Silva (1908 - 1992). She created drawings and paintings with a sensitive and decorative language. She collaborated in the Portuguese World Exhibition and with the Souza-Cardoso award in 1944. Her dreamy and disturbing work express a clear rule of fine arts, with a clean and direct line. This influence is also clear in her pictures, shown in the several pieces in this exhibition.
