Christmas is a time when all the joys of life are celebrated. It’s a time for family, for travel, and for entertainment. The circus in Portugal will soon undergo some dramatic changes. A new legislation will be passed that prohibits the use of animal acts in the Circus. So this year the Circus in Portugal, will fill with what could be the last animal acts, including tigers, horses, camels, lions... and many more surprises. Come and enjoy the Circus, a show filled with entertainment, good humour and brilliant performances. At the Coliseu dos Recreios For both the young and adults, the Coliseu dos Recreios will be receiving various circus acts this christmas. Smiling clowns will open the show that will be filled with laughter and great entertainment. The first act will involve Miss Seal, playing with a ball and doing several tricks within a crystalline blue pool. Mr. Elephant is on next, wanting to show his abilities with a ball, and interacting with the crowds as he shows off his great tricks. Many more artists, animals and entertainers will fill the stage during a night at the circus. So grab some popcorn and a balloon, and enjoy this evening full of joy and animation! The Sleeping Beauty Opera One of the most beautiful fictional princesses, the Sleeping Beauty, gains a new life at this children’s opera by Ottorino Respeghi. It will be accompanied by the Symphonic Portuguese Orchestra and the Teatro São Carlos’ choir.
