June is Lisbon’s most special month. The city’s traditional neighbourhoods decorate its streets with colourful streamers, flags and paper lanterns. Saint Anthony, the city’s patron saint, is celebrated on the 13th of June and throughout the whole month, restaurants serve sardines in open squares, small concerts are held on different stages and the city is the liveliest ever! For this year’s closing concert, Fado will echo through Lisbon’s streets. It will be honoured by the voices of Carlos do Carmo, Mariza, Cristina Branco and the Lisbon Metropolitan Orchestra in, what promises to be, an unforgettable concert.
