“Everything that is solid dissolves in thin air: the Social in the Berardo Collection”

o_social_na_coleo_berardo2.jpg
This phrase refers to a famous passage in the Communist Party Manifest (by Marx and Engels in 1848). It calls for a change in society in the political sense, but in the social sense, it calls for a new awareness of modern social culture. The Berardo Collection was organised to present pieces of art  that reflect the problems of daily life, criticise modern reality or show utopian visions of the world.
