The challenge is to find out whether jazz is created through improvisation gestures or a quest for freedom and Mário Laginha gives this concert as a way to try and find the answer. Mário Laginha is a Portuguese pianist and composer with 18 edited albums. He started listening to jazz at a young age, passing by a classical piano school to better his technique and to later concentrate entirely on jazz.
